The physicians of North Atlanta Psychiatric Association, LLC are experienced in the treatment of depression, including the use of counseling and psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and treatment strategies for refractory depression,
including ECT and TMS.


Mark C. Hutto, M.D.
has practiced psychiatry in Atlanta since 1982. Dr. Hutto is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. A graduate of the University of Georgia and Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Hutto has a general psychiatric practice utilizing psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and somatic treatments including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Dr. Hutto is past-president of the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association, GPPA's Psychiatrist of the Year in 1993 and is the current Assembly Representative to the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Hutto has been extensively involved the legislation involving psychiatry and medicine on a state level. Dr. Hutto treats patients who are age thirteen years and older. He has previously been medical director of the Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital's Psychiatry Unit and Charter Peachford Hospital Geriatric Unit.

 



Thomas Bradford "Brad" Johns, M.D. is a graduate Tulane University (Magna cum Laude), Harvard University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry training at Emory University where he served as Chief Resident and continues to serve as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. Dr. Johns is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American College of Psychiatrists, the American Psychiatric Association and the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association. Dr. Johns is the incoming Medical Director of Ridgeview Institute and practices general adult psychiatry specializing in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.

 

Michael Vaughn, M.D. is a graduate of Emory College and Emory University School of Medicine, and completed training in Psychiatry and also Addiction Psychiatry at Emory University as well. He is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and the American Psychiatric Association. He is Medical Director of Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences (MARR), is on staff at Peachford Hospital and the Atlanta VA Medical Center, is Service Director for the Chemical Dependency service and Outpatient Services at Peachford Hospital, and is a Clinical Associate Professor at Emory University. He practices general adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, has been Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has a special interest in addiction issues in pregnancy.
